Nautilus VFX is a creative studio focused on extraordinary visual effects in Vancouver, Canada. Our aim is to make a space where artists grow creatively and technically while working on an exciting calibre of projects.

What’s in a name | An aesthetically beautiful word for a mysterious and misunderstood creature, the nautilus epitomizes the leveraging of both art and science. In mathematics, its beauty is synonymous with its natural representation of a logarithmic spiral. The nautilus’ constant evolution, adapting to its surroundings and circumstances for over 500 million years is a subtle nod towards our own internal goals.

Our Vision | Driven towards creative problem-solving in the visual effects industry, Nautilus VFX seeks to foster relationships earlier on in the production process to realize the vision of the work with greater effectiveness and clarity. By identifying our client’s needs and establishing common creative language, we facilitate overall communication and crystalize themes and motifs to cut through the time and costs associated with big budget productions but also decision fatigue.

Our Team | We are a small team of like-minded visual effects artists primarily from a compositing background who have become Visual Effects Supervisors, Compositing Supervisors and Seniors. As long-time industry veterans we have come across a great deal of potential problems and solutions through our shared experiences and have confidence we can handle anything a project throws at us.
